Bio
My Story
Julia Varady is a violinist and music teacher based in Los Angeles. Her mission is to cultivate a love of music in every student by facilitating exploration, growth, and musical independence.

Ms. Varady has over 10 years of teaching experience for students of all ages. She has taught as both a private instructor and as a public elementary strings and general music education teacher, overseen by Education Through Music - Los Angeles. Her private students have been known to perform with various youth orchestras including the local LA Youth Orchestra.

Ms. Varady has performed with groups including the CSUN Symphony, Studio Ensemble, and Video Game Orchestra, LA Valley College Orchestra, Pasadena City College Orchestra, and the Filipino American Symphony Orchestra. She enjoys chamber music and, as a result, has taken part in the California State University Northridge chamber program and the Montecito Music Festival. She actively plays in events throughout Los Angeles which has led her to perform and record with bands of differing styles and genres, including indie folk and country.
The Future
Julia Varady received a Bachelor of Music from California State University Northridge in violin performance (under the guidance of Dr. Lorenz Gamma) with a dual emphasis in Music Education. She is currently a member of CSUN’s credential program and will begin student teaching in the fall of 2023. She hopes for continued opportunities to perform and to inspire the next generation of musicians!
